[LEAK]: Google Sabrina a new Android TV Stick

Chromecast was one of Google’s best inventions for bringing your smartphone to your TV. However, after launching the Ultra version of this device in 2016, where it added support for 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, plus an Ethernet port and a faster Wi-Fi connection, there was little else to innovate, but that is about to change with the new "Google Sabrina".
A product that looks like it comes to compete directly with the new Xiaomi Mi TV Stick and surely will assemble an identical hardware. It is expected that in the Google Sabrina software section it will have some exclusive extras, of course this hardware will have all the certifications necessary to reproduce Netflix and other current streaming systems in 4K HDR quality, in addition to integrating the Chromecast 4K system.

Specifications

According to the leak, the Google Sabrina has an Amlogic SoC, probably it will be a S905Y2 Quad Core manufactured in 12nm with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, a hardware that playback smoothly 4K@60fps HDR content and supports Dolby Vision.
The RAM and Storage aspect we can bet for 2GB RAM and 8GB eMMc, a basic figure but enough to use it as a streaming device, the processor S905Y2 is more powerful than the classic S905X.
For the wireless connectivity we will have for sure WiFi aC dual band adapter and Bluetooth system are to be expected. At the connectors level we can see in the design a cable with HDMI 2.0 connector and it sure has a USB Type-C port for power.
In the promo photos we can see that it also has a Bluetooth remote control with a dedicated key for Google Assistant, something that already indicates that it has an integrated microphone. Presumably, it will also have direct access buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime, a contract obligation to integrate these streaming services.
The operating system is a new Android TV, in the promotional images we can see a updated UI (user interface) with new accessibility options at the top, we have search and direct access to libraries. In the central area we have the featured content and in the bottom row direct access to other titles and apps.

Price and availability

Google Sabrina may have a price of $80/€80 and will be announced in the presentation of Android 11.
