The New Xiaomi AIoT Router AX3600 WiFi 6 Router

Xiaomi has unvailed it´s new Wi-Fi 6 router, this new model is named Xiaomi AIoT Router AX3600 and has a peculiar design crowned with 7 external antennas. The central antenna is intended for AIoT, the artificial intelligence of things and with this antenna you can discover, connect and manage up to 248 devices automatically. The rest of the antennas are intended for the 2.4GHz and 5GH bands, and have power and noise amplifiers (PA and LNA) to comply with the Wifi 6 standard that promises a lower latency and slowness when many devices are connected.

The new Xiaomi AIoT Router AX3600 includes a processor a Hexa Core Qualcomm IPQ8071A that has four Cortex-A53 cores up to 1GHz and two NPU cores to manage AI and has 512MB of RAM + storage. The chip that manages the Wifi has the protocols IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab and reaches up to 2976 Mbps. This router also supports OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, Beamforming , IPv6 protocol and WPA3 encryption.
At the connector level, it does not fall short with a Gigabit Ethernet WAN (Auto MDI / MDIX) and three Gigabit LANs (Auto MDI / MDIX). The router is configured and updated with the Xiaomi MiWiFi app that is available for Android and iOS platforms and includes a NetEase UU game accelerator, on platforms such as PS4 and Switch.
The router runs a customized version of OpenWrt called “MiWiFi ROM”, and can be configured via a web interface, or Mi Wi-Fi mobile app for Android or iOS. Apart from the higher throughput, another advantage of 802.11ax WiFi 6  is better handling of high-density scenarios with the average throughput per user improved by a factor of at least 4 times when many users are connected to the router.
As for the price, the price of Xiaomi AX3600 is 599RMB. After the software opens the mesh function in the future, the performance-to-price ratio is undoubtedly higher.
