Disney has just made official the announcement of its new service of streaming Disney + , this giant of the entertainment enters to fight in this type of services against other systems already installed as Netflix and Amazon with a spectacular catalog. For now, this service has announced its launch only in the US at the end of 2019 , but will undoubtedly jump to other countries progressively as it is a global brand and its products are in demand in any region.
Disney has in his group with the imagination of Pixar , the colossal Marvel , the saga Star Wars (LucasFilm) and the productions of National Geographic among others, some products that have already been withdrawing their productions from other services such as Netflix to focus exclusively on this new own platform. As we already see with these productions, Disney has an impressive catalog to offer all its audience covering all sectors.
In addition to all the previous Disney content, the company is developing new products such as a new series of Star Wars and Marvel with the charismatic Loki ( Tom Hiddleston) as the protagonist with real characters, plus we also have another Pixar series based on Monstruos SA , another one set in the High School Musical universe as well as another animated series called The Mandalorian based on the Star Wars universe.
Disney plus is not going to have easy exit to fight against the Netflix 135 million subscribers that is also making a brutal investment in generating new content, the same strategy as Amazon. Apple has also come into play in this sector that is also recruiting stars and preparing a catalog of high-level productions. We still do not know any technical data of this platform and its expansion plans but without a doubt the competition will be bitter.
